Canberra

Eating & drinking

Although Canberra has a reasonably good restaurant scene for such a small city, most of the really good restaurants cater to diplomats and politicians. There are some budget dining options in the city centre including several fast food places, but your best option is to prepare a picnic lunch to eat in one of the city’s parks.

There’s a good fresh food market and a big Supabarn supermarket on Bunda Street in the city centre.
