Flinders Chase National Park

Wildlife is the main reason to visit Kangaroo Island, and Flinders Chase National Park is where you have the best chance of seeing it. The park is situated at the western end of the island with Rocky River as its small commercial centre. Among other creatures, the national park is home to echidnas, kangaroos, koalas, pelicans, platypus and wallabies.
The park also features the natural phenomenon called Remarkable Rocks, which are huge stones bizarrely shaped by nature, sometimes resembling works of modern and abstract sculpture.

The park management organise a number of tours which include beach, cave and light station tours. A 12-month Kangaroo Island Parks Pass is available for $42 and allows access to the park in addition to tours of Seal Bay Beach, Kelly Hill Show Cave and Cape Borda and Cape Willoughby Light stations. An Island Parks Caving Pass is also available for $45, which gives you all the benefits of the Island Parks Pass plus an adventure caving tour.

Entry to the park is $8 per person.
