Often crowded in a good way. This gallery is Victoria’s premiere exhibition space combing contemporary art with historical works a great place to lose yourself for an hour or six.

It's free for tourists, unlike SG 🤑

Exhibitions are often unreasonably (and irresponsibly) crowded so bring your mask. Many of the (free) permanent exhibitions are at the Fed Square area not St Kilda Rd.

The Picasso Century was irresponsibly crowded meaning you were unable to spend adequate time viewing the pieces comfortably. Fewer Picasso pieces than expected (around 30%) but was long!

Luv Leonard French's stainless glass ceiling. My father Winston & Allys father Bill both knew Leonard French, who lived in Heathcote well before he became a recognised Artist.

Start at the top with the most interesting contemporary art pieces. The lower floors are classic religious / portraits / tableware.

Buy tickets online as ticketing is very slow and understaffed at gallery.
