Wonderful zoo and so friendly people

Take a towel so the kids can cool off in the water play area, next to the central park and playground.

When parking down the road, make sure you download the EasyPark app and pay for parking in the app, otherwise you'll be queueing for a ticket and the kids will get tired of that very quickly.

Lovely place to see lots of animals in their habitat

Very nice Zoo. Most animals have adequate space. You can even see elephants running with a keeper.

Nice animal collection near city

Too big for a push-chair but too small to walk around all day? For just $13, you can hire a two-seater, pull-along wagon for the kids to sit in.

Perth Zoo is proudly smoke free so please refrain from smoking during your visit.

If you can, feed the giraffes is a good up close experience.

Zoonique, the Perth Zoo Shop, stays open until 5:15 pm which gives you a little time after the Zoo closes to pick up a memento of your visit. And Zoo Friends receive a 10% discount.

At 10am each day, watch our male Asian Elephant, Putra Mas, go through his exercises with his keeper in the elephant exhibit nearest the orangutans and gibbons.

The best time to see the Australian Bushwalk animals at their most active is early in the morning or late afternoon. During the middle of the day, they’re often resting in a shady spot.

Let’s do the elephant walk! Perth-onality Tricia the Asian Elephant goes for a walk through the Zoo grounds with her keepers at different times of the day. Listen out for the special announcement.

See the Zoo by zebra...car, that is. Hop aboard one of our zebra cars for an hour-long guided tour of the Zoo. Prices apply. Book at the Information Centre (9am to 3pm).
