Geikie Gorge National Park

You are here Home  > Western Australia  > Kimberley region  > Fitzroy Crossing >  Geikie Gorge National Park

Geikie Gorge National Park is around 17km north of Fitzroy Crossing and is worth a detour if you’re driving between Darwin and Broome, although it’s otherwise a bit difficult to get to if you’re travelling by coach.

The best way to explore the gorge is to take one of the cruises on the river, although there are also some good walks along the gorge and elsewhere in the national park. The gorge features some nice picnic and barbecue sites and is home to plenty of freshwater crocodiles.
