The ferry terminal at Shute Harbour (around 10km from Airlie Beach) used to be the main departure points for ferries and sailing trips although most trips now depart from either Abell Point Marina or the Port of Airlie Maritime Terminal, however the occasional sailing trip may depart from Shute Harbour.
