This national park, 138km west of Alice Springs, includes the impressive Palm Valley that is home to an abundance of rare flora including the Red Cabbage Palm.
There are several trails in the park. These include the Kalaranga Lookout walk (1.5km, 45 minutes), which is an easy 20-minute climb with spectacular views of the rock amphitheatre encircled by rugged cliffs. Another popular walk is the Mpaara Walk (5km, 2 hours), which introduces the mythology of the Western Arrernte Aboriginal culture.
