This small town on the Huon River is the main centre of the Huon Valley. Although there are no hostels in town, backpackers picking fruit in the region and staying in Cygnet or Geeveston often come here to buy groceries and travellers passing through often stop for jet boat rides on the river.
Coming & going
Tassielink have several coaches a day from Huonville to Geeveston and Hobart.
