The south coast of Western Australia is home to Albany, the state’s oldest city, the seaside city of Esperance and a beautifully untouched coastline.
If you’re driving across the country when you get to Norseman, you have the choice of heading to Perth via Kalgoorlie or south via Esperance, Albany and the southwest. Take the southern route – sure you’ll miss out on a unique outback mining town, but you’ll gain by experiencing the wild southern coast before heading up to Perth through the forested southwest corner of Western Australia.
