Connor's Mill

Connor’s Mill is a three-storey working flour mill that uses 19th-century steam-powered machinery. The mill has interpretive displays explaining the mill’s operations and also exhibits about history and agricultural activities in the Toodyay region.

Greyhound coach stop (Mildura)

Greyhound coaches run between Adelaide and Mildura. Greyhound coaches depart from the Alfred Deakin Centre (the complex that houses the library, swimming pool and tourist information centre) on 12th Street.

Please note: V/line and NSW TrainLink coach services depart from a different coach stop at the old train station on Seventh Street.

Historic Port of Echuca

Echuca’s historic port features a huge red gum wharf with a multitude of paddle steamers including PS Adelaide, the world’s oldest wooden hulled paddle steamer; PS Pevensey and PS Alexander Arbuthnot, the last paddle steamer built during the Murray River’s heyday. Apart from the boats, which make regular cruises, the historic port is home to numerous heritage buildings, many that can be seen for free before going through the entrance gates, although you need to pay to see the boats, the Wharf Shed Museum and the wharf.

St Kilda Beach

St Kilda Beach – around 5km south of Melbourne’s city centre – is a great place to catch some rays, or if you’re feeling more energetic, go for a swim or rent a bike or a pair of inline skates to cruise the bike path which runs along the beachfront. On Sundays, check out the street market on the Esplanade.

Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI)

The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) is a museum dedicated to film and television with several exhibition galleries plus an archive of classic Australian film and television programmes. ACMI’s permanent collection includes exhibits about the history of the moving image from early cinema and television to internet memes with exhibits that include early televisions and home computers. The museum also hosts a programme of temporary exhibits.

Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia

The Federation Square branch of the National Gallery of Victoria is devoted to Australian art. This gallery features a programme of temporary exhibits plus a permanent collection that includes many of the most well-known examples of early Australian art including Frederick McCubbin’s The Pioneer (1904), Tom Roberts’ Shearing the Rams (1890) and John Brack’s The Bar (1954) and Collins Street, 5pm (1955).
