Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort
This is one of the few places in the world where visitors can hand feed wild dolphins in their natural environment and every evening, several wild dolphins swim here. The resort’s dolphin care programme staff supervises the nightly feedings to ensure the dolphins are not harmed in any way. Daily pelican feeding is another of Tangalooma’s natural animal attractions.
Longreach train station
Longreach’s train station on Landsborough Highway serves the twice-weekly Spirit of the Outback service to Rockhampton and Brisbane.
Longreach bus and coach stop
Greyhound coaches connect Longreach to Brisbane, Mount Isa and Rockhampton and stop at the Outback Travel Centre at 115 Eagle Street.
Mount Isa train station
Mount Isa lies at the terminus of the Inlander train line from Townsville.
The train station is located on Station Street in Miles End, west of the city centre.
