Battery Hill Mining Centre
Battery Hill was named after the stamp battery that was built in 1939 to provide processing facilities for Tennant Creek’s many small gold mines. The plant operated until the 1980s, although it closed during World War II and also for a few years in the late 1950s. The centre has a museum and you can take underground mine tours.

The Dubbo Regional Gallery features four galleries with space for temporary exhibits. The Armati Bequest is a new branch of the Dubbo Regional Gallery at the Western Plains Cultural Centre which specialises in the Animal in Art theme with works featuring animals in a variety of media.
Dubbo Regional Museum
This regional museum at the Western Plains Cultural Centre has a permanent exhibit on the people of Dubbo, which chronicles the changing face of the city. There is also a space for temporary exhibits.
Old Dubbo Gaol
This old prison is now a museum that features animatronic mannequins.
