The lookout at the summit of Castle Hill offers great views of Townsville. Some hostels operate trips up here although it is more rewarding to hike up the steep trail to the top.

    The white stick figure seen on the Hill is called The Saint. In the early 1970s uni students abseiled down the hill and painted him on the rocks. Today The Saint is seen as a local icon..
