What a spectacular view of the ocean from the top! Do make an effort to climb up the steps. You won't regret it.

G I is owned by the S.A. govt. Lack of maintenance resulted in the café closing in 2015. The penguin centre closing in 2016. G I remains a pretty place to visit and walk around, do not expect more.

Take your litter away with you, and no dogs allowed! Everything you do here can affect the health of the precious Little Blue penguins

Windy and cold! That was summer. But what do you expect when there is nothing between here and Antarctica?

Somebody who knows what they're doing needs to make a thing for Screwpile Jetty. Great name.

Very hot day but horses that pull the tram have no shade at the island end, so stand in the sun for 1/2 hour plus - horrible! Cafe area is dirty and run down with no soap in toilets and high prices.

Victor Harbor - wkends & pub hols are best. Horsedrawn tram to island or walk. Walk around island (rug up). Seals & dolphins; fairy penguins (dusk). Fave: balmy summer's night with full-moon over bay.

The elusive search for Little Penguins begins by finding burrows surrounded by penguin poo.
