The Museum & Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT) is an excellent museum that features exhibits focusing on the cultural, social and natural history of the Northern Territory. Some of the museum’s better displays include the Aboriginal Art Gallery, exhibits on Cyclone Tracy and a five-metre crocodile named ‘Sweetheart’.

    A unexpectedly interesting museum. Free entry and definitely worth a visit. Well presented. Brilliant aboriginal art works and don't miss the maritime section with indigenous and historic vessels.

    It's a shame they have a no photos policy. Fair enough in the art gallery but I don't understand why we can't take pictures in the museum.

    This is a great place to familiarise yourself with Aboriginal art. Museum houses a great display of both ancient and contemporary art from across the NT.
