Shrine of Remembrance

You are here Home  > Victoria  > Melbourne >  Shrine of Remembrance

If you look south down the middle of Swanston Street, you’ll be looking directly at the Shrine of Remembrance, which was built as a memorial for those who died in the First World War and now stands as a memorial for all the wars in which Australia has played a part. There’s a great view of the city from the top.

This place is awesome. It is way bigger than what it looked like from the pictures. Very peaceful and truly feels like a holy place.

Shrine of Remembrance es uno de los monumentos de guerra más grande de Australia, el cual da honor a todos los australianos que han servido en la guerra. ✨ Es un lugar ideal para ver el atardecer.
