Yellow Water

You are here Home  > Northern Territory  > The Top End  > Kakadu National Park >  Yellow Water

The Yellow Water wetlands are a popular spot to see crocodiles as well as bird life including Jabiru storks. The seasons dictate how you will visit this area. A boardwalk provides a good vantage point for observing wildlife during the early dry season; later in the dry (when the water has dried up) there is a walk (1km) across the floodplains to a viewing platform. In the wet you’ll need to take a cruise on the river, although these cruises operate year round.

Once the water recedes the cruises depart from here rather than Home Billabong
