Mary River National Park

Located between Darwin and Kakadu National Park, Mary River National Park is an excellent spot for crocodile spotting and bird watching.

The highlight of the park is Bird Billabong, which is a fantastic spot for bird watching.

There are a number of excursions that you can organise from Mary River Park tourist complex (Mary River Crossing, Arnhem Highway) that include their popular wildlife river cruise that is ideal for spotting crocodiles and birds. It is common to see between 20 and 50 crocodiles if you go on a cruise between April and August (which is the best time of year to visit). Mary River Park also runs sunset stargazing and dinner cruises.
