Queenstown

This mining town has a unique Wild West ambience with a few interesting old buildings. The surrounding region has a barren landscape that makes it such a contrast to the rest of Tasmania; this was caused by a combination of mining and extensive deforestation that has created a landscape almost devoid of trees or other vegetation.
