Gladstone train station

Gladstone is on the main rail line between Brisbane and Rockhampton and is served by the Tilt Train to Brisbane and Rockhampton, the Spirit of the Outback to Brisbane and Longreach and the Spirit of Queensland to Brisbane and Cairns.

Gladstone train station is in the city centre near the intersection of Tank and Toolooa Streets.

Glen Innes coach stop

NSW TrainLink coaches go to Armidale, Grafton, Inverell and Moree. Travellers can transfer to trains to Sydney at Armidale, Grafton and Moree and trains to Brisbane at Grafton.

Greyhound Australia coaches go from Glen Innes to Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Coaches stop at the Caltex service station.

Gold Coast Airport (OOL)

Although the Gold Coast is close enough to make Brisbane’s airport a convenient gateway, Gold Coast Airport (OOL) in Coolangatta at the southern end of the coast has frequent flights from most major destinations in Australia.

Surfside buses stop on the Gold Coast Highway outside the Airport, and they also operate an airport shuttle service from both Brisbane and Gold Coast/Coolangatta Airports with drop-offs to hostels and hotels along the Gold Coast. The shuttle costs around $21, so it’s a much better idea to walk five minutes to the highway and catch the local bus (route 700 to Surfers Paradise) for just $7.50 (or $5.24 with a go card).

If you’re travelling from Brisbane Airport, the Airtrain operates twice an hour with a connecting bus to Surfers Paradise. It costs $35.90 from the airport to Robina station or $55 with a connecting shuttle bus to your hostel.

Goulburn train station

While Melbourne–Sydney coaches stop in the edge of town at the Big Merino, trains stop in at more centrally located train station on Sloane Street.

Goulburn has NSW Trainlink trains to Canberra, Griffith, Melbourne and Sydney.

Goulburn station is also the southern terminus for CityRail Trains that provide a cheaper and more frequent, although slower, rail transport option to Sydney and Newcastle.
