Located in the historic Sully’s Emporium on Argent Street, the Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery has an important collection of over 1700 Australian artworks including works by many leading Aboriginal artists. It is also noted for its collection of work by local artists including Pro Hart.

Broken Hill train station
The train is the best way to travel to Broken Hill; the Indian Pacific stops here between Adelaide and Sydney. This train is considered one of Australia’s classic train journeys, particularly if you travel all the way to Perth.
NSW TrainLink also operates trains between Broken Hill and Sydney and also operates coaches between Broken Hill and Dubbo.

Broome Bird Observatory
The Broome Bird Observatory is a top destination for birdwatchers and it contains almost half of Australia’s bird species. The best time to see shorebirds is two hours before and after high tide.
Broome coach stop
Greyhound and Integrity Coach Lines coaches stop on Broome Road outside the tourist information centre. Greyhound coaches go to Darwin and Integrity Coach Lines go to Perth.
Broome International Airport (BME)
Due to the long distances on the west coast, many travellers fly from Broome to Perth making the trip here relatively painless.
Airnorth fly from Broome to Darwin, Karratha, Kununurra and Port Hedland; Qantas have regular flights to Perth and seasonal flights to Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney and Virgin Australia fly to Darwin, Kununurra, Perth and Port Hedland.
Broome International Airport (BME) is conveniently situated near the town centre with the terminal on McPherson Road just a five-minute walk from the town centre and two of Broome’s backpackers’ hostels.

This small museum has exhibits on the history of Broome with old photographs and displays about the pearling industry.

Buchan Caves
The Buchan Caves comprise several caves with limestone formations. The most visited is Fairy Cave, which is known for its elaborate stalactites and stalagmites. You can often see kangaroos and lyrebirds in the reserve surrounding the caves.
Bunbury Bus Station
Bunbury’s proximity to Perth ensures relatively convenient transport connections.
South West Coach Lines coaches go to Perth, Busselton and Margaret River and depart from Bunbury Bus Station in the city centre. Bunbury Bus Station is also the terminus for TransBunbury local bus services.
Note: Transwa coaches stop at the train station in Wollaston, 3km north of Bunbury city centre.

Bunbury’s proximity to Perth ensures relatively convenient transport connections.
Bunbury lies at the southern extremity of Western Australia’s rail network with a couple of daily train services to and from Perth. The train station is 3km north of town on Picton Road in East Bunbury, and local buses (route 827) meet with the train to take you into the town centre. One-way fares for the Australind train from Perth are $31.25.
Transwa coach services to Albany, Augusta, Busselton, Manjimup and Margaret River also depart from the train station.

Bunbury Wildlife Park has the usual collection of native wildlife including kangaroos and birds.
Bundaberg bus and coach stop
Greyhound and Premier Motor Service coaches stop in Bundaburg en route between Brisbane and Cairns. Coaches stop outside the Arts Centre on Barolin Street.
Bundaberg Distillery
Bundaberg Rum is Australia’s biggest-selling spirit and Bundaberg’s main attraction is the distillery where it is made. Distillery tours include a taste of Bundaberg’s biggest export.
Bundaberg train station
Bundaberg is served by frequent trains including the Tilt Train to Brisbane and Rockhampton, the Spirit of the Outback to Brisbane and Longreach (via Rockhampton) and the Spirit of Queensland to Brisbane and Cairns.

Bungee jumping and Minjin Jungle Swing
AJ Hackett runs a popular bungee site north of Cairns with a 44m jump.
AJ Hackett’s bungee jump site is also home to the Minjin Jungle Swing. This involves being strapped into a harness and suspended by stainless steel cables and swinging from 40m at 100km/h.

Beechworth’s Burke Museum is an excellent museum that has exhibits on the gold rush and the exploits of the notorious Kelly gang.
