Firefly Express and Greyhound coaches stop in Gundagai en route between Melbourne and Sydney.
NSW TrainLink also operate coach services from Gundagai with coaches to Bathurst, Canberra, Parkes, Tumbarumba and Wagga Wagga.

NSW TrainLink has coaches to Echuca and Mildura in Victoria as well as Cootamundra and Wagga Wagga plus a weekly train to Sydney.
NSW TrainLink coaches and trains depart from Griffith train station a couple of blocks north of the town centre.
Broken Hill’s airport handles flights from Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney but there is no public transport from the airport so you’ll have to take a taxi in town.
The train is the best way to travel to Broken Hill; the Indian Pacific stops here between Adelaide and Sydney. This train is considered one of Australia’s classic train journeys, particularly if you travel all the way to Perth.
NSW TrainLink also operates trains between Broken Hill and Sydney and also operates coaches between Broken Hill and Dubbo.
Broken Hill’s train station is on Crystal Street in the city centre near the corner of Chloride Street.

Buses and coaches stop at the tourist information centre at the corner of Blende and Bromide Streets. Coaches connect Broken Hill with Adelaide, Dubbo and Mildura. Take a coach to Dubbo to connect with coaches to other destinations in New South Wales or Mildura for connections in Victoria.
Darwin is the closest Australian city to Asia. Its airport handles many of the cheapest international flights into and out of Australia, making Darwin a popular gateway.
Darwin International Airport (DRW) is 10km northeast of the city centre and is served by the airport shuttle bus that meets most (but not all) flights and drops off at hostels. The one-way fare is $16 (although the fare is reduced with more passengers).
Greyhound coaches terminate at the Mitchell Street Transit Centre, which is between Chilli’s and the Youth Shack. It is just a short walk to most of Darwin’s hostels.
Great Southern Railway’s Ghan train service runs from Darwin to Adelaide three times a week. The station is located at Berrimah in Darwin’s outer suburbs. There are no scheduled bus services between the station and the city centre but shuttle buses meet the train; the fare into the city centre is around $8.
Greyhound coaches travelling between Alice and Darwin stop at the BP service station on Katherine Terrace (Stuart Highway) opposite the tourist information centre. Coaches go to Alice Springs, Broome and Darwin.
Located in the historic Sully’s Emporium on Argent Street, the Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery has an important collection of over 1700 Australian artworks including works by many leading Aboriginal artists. It is also noted for its collection of work by local artists including Pro Hart.
