One of the better places to eat and drink in Devonport is Molly Malone’s, an Irish pub with filling pub meals and Guinness on tap. It is right in the centre of town and especially convenient if you’re staying in the hostel upstairs.

Mooloolaba bus and coach stop
Premier Motor Service coaches stop at the bus stop outside the Bowling Green in Mooloolaba. This stop is handy if you’re staying at Mooloolaba Beach Backpackers.
Morty’s Food Hall
Morty’s Food Hall on Wellington Street has a good selection of cheap tasty food.
Mount Ainslie Lookout
This hill behind the War Memorial offers great views of the city. It is accessible via walking tracks from the War Memorial.
Mount Buller coach stop
During the ski season there are V/line coaches to Mansfield and Melbourne. Coaches depart from the Village Centre on Mount Buller Road.
Mount Gambier Airport (MGB)
Rex flies to Adelaide and Melbourne from Mount Gambier. The airport is 10km north of town on Penola Road (Riddoch Highway).

Premier Stateliner coaches go to Adelaide and V/line coaches go to Melbourne via Warrnambool and Ballarat. Coaches stop at the Lady Nelson Visitor & Discovery Centre on Jubilee Highway.

Greyhound coaches stop at the Outback at Isa Centre on Marian Street.
Mount Isa train station
Mount Isa lies at the terminus of the Inlander train line from Townsville.
The train station is located on Station Street in Miles End, west of the city centre.
Mount Rosea loop walk
The Mount Rosea loop walk (12km, 4–5 hours) is a difficult half-day hike that starts and finishes at Rosea campground on Mount Victory Road. It offers stunning views from the summit of Mount Rosea.
Mount Warning
Mount Warning is the main reason most travellers visit Murwillumbah. The staff at the YHA hostel know all about climbing the mountain and they may even arrange your transport in time for a pre-sunrise climb.
Mount Wellington
If you have a car an excursion to the summit of Mount Wellington is a must. The views of the city from here are spectacular and on a clear day you can see half of Tasmania.
Hobart Shuttle Bus (tel 0408 341 804) leaves the city centre for Mt Wellington Mon–Fri 10.30am & 1.30pm, Sat 1.30pm, Sun 10.30am & 1.30pm. The return fare is $30 and the one-way fare (for hikers making the two and a half hour walk to the base of the mountain) is $20.
Mudgee train station
Although it is no longer possible to travel to Mudgee by train, NSW TrainLink coaches run between Mudgee and Lithgow with connecting train services to Sydney.

Mudgee Visitor Information Centre
Mure’s
Mure’s is the biggest fish and chip place and is a Hobart landmark with a brilliant location right in the centre of Constitution Dock. It’s nice and dry on a rainy day but if the sun is shining one of the other four small fish and chips shops on Constitution Dock may be a better – and cheaper – option.
Murwillumbah tourist information centre
Murwillumbah’s tourist information centre is opposite the train station on the southern side of the Tweed River.
Murwillumbah train station
Murwillumbah used to be served by trains, but the rail line from Casino was closed in 2004.
The train station is now used as a coach station with NSW TrainLink coaches to Casino, Tweed Heads and the Gold Coast. Premier Motor Services coaches also stop here en route between Brisbane and Sydney.
Museum & Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT)
The Museum & Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT) is an excellent museum that features exhibits focusing on the cultural, social and natural history of the Northern Territory. Some of the museum’s better displays include the Aboriginal Art Gallery, exhibits on Cyclone Tracy and a five-metre crocodile named ‘Sweetheart’.
Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka (MADE)
The Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka (MADE) is located on the site of the Eureka Rebellion that took place during the gold rush of 1854 between miners and government officials. The museum has exhibits on the Eureka Rebellion including the original Eureka Flag (on loan from the Art Gallery of Ballarat).
Museum of Brisbane (MoB)
The Museum of Brisbane inside City Hall has exhibits about the city’s history and culture.
